The concluding Conference to highlight the results of the French Biomass Project REGIX will take place at the 18th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition in Lyon

22 February 2010 - The summarizing and final conference of the French project REGIX (Unified references, methods and experiments to enable improved evaluation of potential agricultural and forestry lignocellulosic resources for bioenergy in France) will take place in Lyon, France, on the occasion of the 18th European Biomass Conference (3-7 May 2010) and Exhibition (3-6 May 2010).

On May 4, 2010, representatives from the French biomass industry will meet and address crucial questions on biomass resources: availability and costs of the agricultural, forest and biomass residues, technical performances, environmental impacts, quality, and supply chain.

  • Record number: Contributions from 65 countries

1 February 2010 - ETA-Florence Renewable Energies and WIP Renewable Energies (WIP) organizers of the 18th European Biomass Conference (3-7 May 2010) and Exhibition (3-6 May 2010), taking place in Lyon, France, report that more than 830 scientific and industry papers have been submitted.

The global interest in the European Biomass Conference is evident in the soaring number of 65 countries where the submitted papers originated: All European countries, North and South America, Asia and Africa, as well as Australia have contributed. Most submissions originated from this year’s host country France. A high number of contributions was received from other European countries, such as Germany, Italy, Austria, and the United Kingdom.

1 febbraio 2010 - ETA-Florence Energie Rinnovabili e WIP-Renewable Energies, organizzatori della 18ª Conferenza (3-7 maggio 2010) ed Esposizione (3-6 maggio 2010) sulla Biomassa, che si terrà a Lione, in Francia, comunicano di aver ricevuto oltre 830 articoli scientifici e industriali.

L'interesse a livello mondiale per la Conferenza europea sulla biomassa risulta evidente dal numero elevato di candidature provenienti da 65 paesi: tutti i paesi europei, Nord e Sud America, Asia, Africa e Australia. La maggior parte delle candidature è stata inviata dalla Francia, che quest'anno ospiterà la manifestazione. Numerosi anche i contributi provenienti da altri paesi europei, tra cui la Germania, l'Italia, l'Austria e il Regno Unito.

1er février 2010 - ETA-Florence Renewable Energies et WIP Renewable Energies (WIP), les organisateurs de la 18ème conférence européenne sur la biomasse (3-7 mai 2010) et de l'exposition qui aura lieu en parallèle (3-6 mai 2010) à Lyon, en France, déclarent avoir reçu plus de 830 contributions des domaines scientifiques et industriels.

L'intérêt mondial pour la conférence européenne sur la biomasse est certain, comme le montre l'augmentation importante des contributions soumises par 65 pays: tous les pays d'Europe, d'Amérique du Sud et du Nord, d'Asie et d'Afrique, ainsi que d'Australie ont participé. La plupart des soumissions provenaient du pays d'accueil cette année, la France. Un grand nombre de contributions émanaient également d'autres pays d'Europe, à savoir l'Allemagne, l'Italie, l'Autriche et le Royaume-Uni.

Conference General Chairman of the 18th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition, 3-7 May 2010 in Lyon, France

 
11 January  2010 - The 18th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition will be chaired by Prof. Josef Spitzer, Joanneum Research, Austria, Chairman of the IEA Bioenergy Implementing Agreement. The Conference in May 2010 will be a platform for discussing the outcome of COP15 in Copenhagen 2009 and the national energy strategies, including the role of bioenergy, which will be announced in June 2010 by the Member States of the European Union.

The 18th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition is Focusing on Strategies to Combat Climate Change and Offers the Perfect Business Platform for Bioenergy Technology & Application 
 
17 December 2009 - The 18th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition will take place in Lyon, France, from 3 to 7 May 2010. The Conference subjects cover the entire range of bioenergy issues: Resource availability, conversion technologies, demonstration projects, integration in the energy system, environmental impact and market deployment as well as the need for policy actions. The Conference will be chaired by Prof. Josef Spitzer, Joanneum Research, Austria, and IEA Bioenergy Executive Committee Chairman. The Technical Programme Coordination will be supported by the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission - JRC. The French national support and all activities of the host country will be coordinated by ADEME, the French Environment and Energy Management Agency.

Announcement for 2010:

the 18th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition will take place
in Lyon, France

27 October 2009 - The Conference Executive Committee announces that next year’s 18th European Biomass Conference will take place in Lyon, France, from 3 – 7 May 2010. The Exhibition will take place in parallel from 3 – 6 May 2010.

The Conference will be chaired by Prof. Josef Spitzer, Joanneum Research, Austria, and IEA Bioenergy Executive Committee Chairman.
