| The
14th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition - Biomass
for Energy, Industry and Climate Protection will take place
in Paris from 17 to 21 October 2005 at the Palais des Congrés.
This edition
of the European Biomass Conference follows the successful
events in Amsterdam (2002) and in Rome (2004). It became a
“must” appointment in the field of renewable energy
sources where biomass will play a major role for the future
sustainable energy supply.
A broad audience
constituted from the main stakeholders in the field of biomass,
policy makers, delegates from industries, research and development
institutes, from utilities, power suppliers, bioenergy user
from different countries will provide an excellent opportunity
for exchange of knowledge and for the presentation of the
latest technologies, projects and strategies.
More than 1.000
participants from over 80 countries are expected to attend
the Conference. More than 800 presentations (Plenary, Oral
and Visual Presentations) from over 70 nations have been selected
by the Scientific Committee.
The Conference
Topics (Biomass resources; Research and development of bioenergy
technologies; Demonstration and market implementation of biomass
utilisation in heat and electricity production and in the
transport sector; International biofuel and certificate trade
and policy issues; Economics and Benefits from Biomass; International
Co-operation and Biomass utilisation for poverty alleviation
and sustainable development) are considered highly relevant
to create stimulating and productive discussion and debate.
The Biomass Exhibition
will take place in parallel to the Conference, with the partecipation
of companies and organisations from biomass industries, suppliers,
system distributors, bioenergy promoters, bioenergy consultants,
users of biomass related applications and further.
